Managed a flight to Manchester tomorrow night, but our car is in Bristol so have to get home from Manchester somehow without catching it.
I've been coughing for 2 weeks from a cold, very self conscious about it and also hearing other people coughing. It is quite normal at this time of year with winter bugs, but who can tell in this environment.
We cannot shut down the wider economy too, or the fake food and loo roll queues, based on idiots, will become very real if the means to manufacture distribute and sell are shut down too.
Shutting schools is crazy on that holistic view, because it will force many parents in the more critical parts of the economy to stay home look after kids, interrupting supply and the kids will Interact anyway so will not reduce infection.
It will also bankrupt many outside the public sector, who do not get paid unless they work.
I also think many have or have been exposed to cv that don’t realise it because symptoms can be mild. So I think infection numbers are way underestimated, time will tell.
