Madeira is interesting in that no recorded cases yet, though who knows. Obviously dawned on them the seriousness of the problem in that 55% of the population are retired (older, figures I was told and not checked) and only a small island. So they are shutting things down fast now, anyone coming in has to isolate for 2 weeks.
Unfortunately with no planes bringing visitors in, there are no planes going out, hence we are all trying to get a flight asap whilst we can.
The island only has tourism and they will suffer like everyone, though Ronaldo is apparently back in his villa in lockdown, safe and sound.
