9m speed endurance today. An ACW loop of Thruscross starting and finishing at the Swinsty car park.

I bonked at the 8m point which has never happened before, so i ended up walking in the last mile. Nutritionally i don't think i did anything any different to normal, so i'm not sure where this bonk came from. Fortunately the Hall Farm honesty box cake shed had a slab of coffee cake for 3 quid which i wolfed down in one go.

I'm still trying to get to grips with why i feel so slow on the leg across the moors. It comes right after a climb which is the most punishing and exhausting part of the route. I don't know if the undulating nature of the moor has anything to do with it, but i always struggle to get my legs moving consistently fast.
