On yesterdays bike ride whilst on a slight downhill I startled a Greater Spotted Woodpecker and it flew, with its distinctive undulating flight, parallel to me at head height and around 10 feet to my left for around 30 to 40 yards before disappearing into a copse.
Around 20 minutes later I saw one of the Clywedog Ospreys returning to its nesting platform.
