10.66 miles, 3,013 feet, 3 hours 25 minutes: Rothay Bridge - Miller Bridge - Rydal Park - Low Sweden Bridge - rock step - High Sweden Bridge - Scandale - Red Screes - south ridge - Golden Rule Pub - Ambleside. Lots of lovely blue sky, some high fluffy/streaky clouds. A strong cold wind from the north. No rain. Terrain mainly dry with good grip. Not many walkers about; 1 runner seen - in the valley.

I forgot to mention that some ashes have been spread on the top of Loughrigg - they are persisting despite all the recent rain. Nearby are of course sheep droppings and banana skin. Odd. Spread me well away from pedestrian traffic please, so that at least if I get "mixed up" nobody will see it.
