12.35 miles, 3,561 feet, 4 hours 15 minutes: Rothay Bridge in Ambleside to Swinescar Pike and back, taking in Loughrigg top and the race route to/from the road at High Close both ways, and Silver How and Lang How on the way out. Mainly overcast, with fluffy clouds above the tops - there was some sunshine/blue sky, which made for nice shadows on the fells. No significant wind. A few minutes of very light drizzle, enough to result in rainbows, but not enough to get wet. Lots of walkers on Loughrigg, fewer on Silver How - I saw 9 runners, all on Loughrigg.
