The dissapointed look on his face said it all, she knew he had seen the running kit in the boot as he did a last check before the off, it was now half a dozen junctions up the motorway and not a word had been uttered between them.
Oh sod it she thought, i wont bother running all week, but deep down she knew that within two days she would be murder to live with and chomping at the bit to get out.
Well just three runs for the week then, if he moans at that he can stuff his self.
They duly arrived at the guesthouse, they had been lucky to get in, several phone calls had resulted in most B&B owners telling her that Keswick was very busy that week, but frantically she had found one at the last minute.
It didnt look that busy but then again she didnt care , the promise of an early night with David had made the long long car journey worthwhile and the both of them after eating a nice dinner hastily retired to the bedroom. As she lay in David's arms she thought to herself it doesnt get much better than this.
But before she knew it the mood was slightly soured, she couldnt help it, it wasn't her fault but she had stupidly blurted out that she was thinking of going for an early morning run and would it be okay.
David rolled over and told her to put the light off.
The moment was lost.
