Yes, the run back over Kinder brought back very happy memories of the Skyline!

Completely agree about the MRT support. It was reassuring to see so many of them along the route. Thank you.

Many thanks also to Tanky and his team for this epic event.

So how many swam the river where we came off Black hill? I chickened out and waded across.

So none of you decided to run down the road and do the Gravy Pud 5 as part of the run? Don't blame you. After the rain held off for the GP5 it then lashed it down all day. Well done to you all who did Marsden to Edale. Enjoy your evening

    Re: Tankies Trog

For the record, some of the worst conditions ever for this event today, "short crossing" of Kinder was truly horrific. Very very well done to those valiant souls who made it through today.

Brilliant running at the sharp end... with

    1st Lad - Tom Brunt - Holmfirth
1st Lass - Kate Cooper - CFR (late of Glossopdale!)

PS I've got some race pic's, taken at low level, where the weather was mostly kind, I'll try & get them posted via KFR (Hayfield Fell Races) or DPFR websites......

Had more dunkings today than a McVities digestive!
Anybody else fall foul of hidden holes on the way to
Black Hill? Tricky stream crossing too.
If it hadn't been for my mate, I'd have got to Crowden
    quicker than anybody.
Thought about those at the back who might have
    tried to cross it alone.
Opted out at Snake due to poorly leg.
Actually, I'd just dried out and didn't fancy another
    soaking. Wot a wimp!

I think Geoff B tried out a new idea - 'Tanky's Triathlon' with the swim bit in the middle - Crowden Brook in fact . Thanks to Tanky and all the organisers and the MR guys - especially the one at Torside who I dumped an empty drinks bottle on !

Did both crossings after Wessenden Head OK, team work, but got to the "stream" with the hidden, under water, plank bridge and promptly missed with the second step and went chest deep in very cold water.

Crowden Little Brook was exciting, but again with other competitors we all crossed safely.
Surprised not a lot of water in Fairbrook at the bottom of Seal Stones.

Thanks to everybody involved for an exciting day out.

    Grouse, (too modest as ever!)
You had a cracker today, well done, as did Johnny Jodd' and the rest of the KFR bunch ....
Clearing beautifully now over Kinder..... there's even stars..
and barely a hint of a breeze....
What a difference a few hours make...

Great race thanks to Tanky, Luvshack et al for all their hard work- appreciated by us all.

I too went for a little dip up to my neck in Crowden Brook- think I surprised the queue of folks looking to cross- made up about 5 places though...

Also found one of those deep water holes on the way up to Black Hill.

Just glad I knew the lines over Kinder to avoid feeding myself to the bog monsters unlike some of the others around me.

Good fun... easily said in retrospect. pleased to be 11 mins quicker than last year

Wasn't pleased to get home to find a hole in my roof and spent 2 hours in the dark and rain trying to bodge it up and stop the water pouring in
