It's an easy race, and as it's 2 laps you could always bail out out at halfway?

Can't be that easy surely. Just had a peek at last year's results, and the winner went round in 50 minutes!

Last person was around 1 hr 41 - could be tough competition for last place

I think I might do this one. My brother lives in Ambergate, so I might combine it with a family visit. (Also means I have someone to keep an eye on my daughter during the race).

As for terrain - I'm expecting mud, grass & mud.

My recollection of the course from last year is that there's some track and plenty of mud, but as it's all through the woods, there isn't any grass.

It's very tempting to drop out after one lap. 34 finished at one lap and 132 completed two last year.
