Do the three of you get confused with all this schizophrenia, Tussockface?

See you at Wainstalls, Manhar - I'm on leg 5.

PS: anyone doing leg 5 who hasn't reccied it, be very careful descending to Shibden Vale - the slabs are treacherous - its where I slipped and knackered my knee recceing for this last year, and clubmate Steve Houghton has damaged his knee even worse a few weeks ago at the very same spot.

Some pretty dangerous slabs and cobbles on leg 4 also Bill, not so great last weekend, also covered in leaves to fool the unsuspecting runner even further.

Yes. And we have have to take a travelling wardrobe of vests to every event.

Any bits especially treacherous, Gaz? I'm an unsuspecting runner if ever there was one.

On the way down to river after Heptonstall is the worst bit, after you have crossed the road - muddy rocks covered in leaves.

    Re: Calderdale Way Relay

I reccied leg 2 yesterday. About the STABLES: I "ran" the gauntlet of a long row of horses heads all gazing sadly out of their stables at the point where the description says "... following a field path into a lane between farm buildings ...". There were also quite a lot of people and one or two dogs. Strange that these stables are not mentioned. I did not see any stables at the point highlighted in the description - Todmorden Edge Farm. Am I confused?

Not sure what the instructions say but you are correct that there are no stables at Todmorden Edge. The walking section is at the stables at longfield, before you drop into Todmorden, (the one with the godfather like horses heads). There's meant to be a marshall there on the day anyway.
