    Amex
I finally got around to sorting somewhere to stay, so count me in for the run followed by the far more important part of the day, curry!

I'll no doubt see some of you at Rotherham this weekend.

Cool Re: Xmas on the fells

    Hi All
First well done to all who did RR yesterday, NOUH just called me at home, and my wife thought my friends were virtual friends Ha now she knows!
So a big well done to you, All
    Right
Problem, one or two people who are on this Xmas have called me, they are still mad keen but have hinted to me that the start time is too early! they have to travel from afar to be there.
Now it makes no difference to me i am staying the night before, but i am worried that this start time is early.
Now it's not my day out it's ours and my concern is that all are safe well have a run and get hammered if they wish if not they get home safe!

So i put it to you all should we have say a 9-9.30 or even 10 am start this will give chance for those just driving there and back on the day and those who are driving up that day and back the day after.
the 9 am start i feel would not allow us to complete two legs but i feel we could get as far as (Sticks not 100% sure but i think its the main path crossroads after Stybarrow Dodd) then drop down. i think this would give us 6-6.30 hours on feet or we could just do leg one??
Please remember this is a day out with a good set and a good crack and a good meal and a good beer and a good dance after, i would hate it to be difficult for all to enjoy So my friends your thoughts????

    Re: Xmas on the fells

Amex - that day I did Leg 1 with you and NOUH, I came down off Sticks Pass, total time was about 6 hours. So, depending on weather etc, it would be feasible to do that.

Mind you...if it's anything like yesterday, we'll be doing none of it!! Got blasted off the top of Clough Head in a complete whiteout

Today was much nicer.....Leg 2 in decent conditions until Seat Sandal. Still plenty of snow on the main tops......but I was nicely ahead of 23 hour schedule all the way including a 43 minute ascent of Clough Head from threlkeld.
