For an average team , roughly where would you get to before it goes light?
ALSO......does anyone know when people will be informed as to which teams have been offered places?

Reckon sunrise will be about 7.00 ish by March? Anyone got a better educated guess?
If it is 7am and your start time is roughly between 11 and 12 then you would be around Bleaklow area maybe even as far as snake pass if you are in the middle of the pack. These are very rough estimates by the way.
Check out last years results for a guesstimate or schedule for recce's

As to when you find out, well I can't help you there.
I'm waiting to find out myself Goose Fat. It says on the website the team organiser will be notified, by mail, by the 8/12/07.
I've been checking my e mail all day and had nowt yet. Let me know if you hear anything - I'm on a need to know basis and need to know now!
Its today or tomorrow that we find out? Didn't realise that.
Let us know as soon as anyone hears then!
Much more civil than 3 peaks entry eh!
waiting to hear as well... fingers crossed I think?!
Sunrise for Edale is 6:38am on 8th March according to http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php
And some might even be waiting in fear
With much more than fingers crossed
And..... the weather (and any snow cover there might be) & team pace, will be the determining factors in the "daylight" moment... it's normally an imperceptible, magical moment, which lifts the soul & legs onward to Snake Summit.... leaving Howden Moss…. approaching Hoar Stones…. with the emerging vision of Swains Head, is often the place, on my/our pace, when there is a "wonderful" awakening, of our dead but faithful souls & legs!!!
Hope to see you all there....
Miss Muddy Paws Dad....
Not clever & often stupid..
Anyone heard whether they are in(or not) yet?
What I found surprising was how long before actual sunrise it starts to become light. I think it's just more noticeable when you've become accustomed to the dark. We were heading up towards Bleaklow Stones when it started to improve, but we did get one of the early start slots.
Myself and Nik did some wild weather training on Kinder today. Crumbs it can get rough up there in Winter. Add some darkness and tricky navigation and it's a fairly serious challenge. Here's hoping.
Check your mail! I've just had good news!
