Im not trying to be negative or anything by the way.

If I was carrying an injury and it went I certainly would not risk further injury and jeopordising future races and stuff.

    Cos I hate not racing.
jamie it wont be a prob , emm will carry me round

Daz, Jamie you've got to be positive, just plan to get to the next check point, one stage at a time, besides I've bought the mince pies now

I'll see you all some where between 20-30 mile , in a silver volvo.

Nasty cold has almost gone. Still got a bit of a cough. I can still hear that I'm a bit chesty.

Am I going to do myself some harm if I run tomorrow? Even if it's not at marathon pace, all those hours out in the damp might not be the best idea...
basil, youre cold will be back next week but its the price you pay for 10 hrs in the rain.running 50 miles will drain the body but thats why the buzz is bigger at the end. i'm the same in the chesty deptartment and just getting over a stomach bug.i'm just going for a day out and see how far i'll get,we'll be fine on sat, it's monday when you have to settle the bill.go for it mate were all in the same boat.

Well- doctor says chest is clear. Looked a bit bemused when I told him I was planning the 50, but didn't say not to do it.
Wife is still furious that I might jeapordise my health in this act of "madness".

Still- kit is packed and in the car. Roll on the 4:45 alarm call ...

If the weather in Rotherham is anything like it is here in Mid Wales, I hope the lads and lasses still retain their sense of humour after 30 miles

Will have been a long hard day out, I'm sure they will stagger in wet, cold but very happy.

    Well done in advance
