I've just had a look at the woodnetops website, apparently I did it in 1996 in 39:08, I can't see that ever happening again

Any kit requirements for this race ie full water/windproof whole body cover, cos me pants ain't come yet. Remember getting to the Shepherds Skyline and finding it was compulsory to carry a cag, nothing on website or race calender. Luckily had a spare cag in car, more by luck than management.

I never bother checking whether there's full kit check or not, i just put it all in then find out when i get there. This way you never get caught out. If i were you i'd take it all, it can be a bit wet and windy up there. Just hope that you don't need any of it.

All being well I shall be across for this one on Sunday for the first time rather than do the planned 10k road race. By the sound of things getting the right footwear seems to be the main issue for this one. I was thinking of my Innov-8 rocklites or my Nike kyotee Trail? prefer my Nike's really.

Many thanks to the Woodentops and all their helpers for such a great race as usual.
Apols for parking my mountain bike near to the finish line and thanks to someone for moving it.........won't happen again.......oooooooppps.
Ambition fulfilled - first ever fell race that I've biked to and from although think it really affected my performance in the race. Also nearly threw at the end.....hmmmmmm, nice.
Good to see many friends, thanks again.

Enjoyed the race today a bit tricky underfoot in places with the frozen ground and the bogs that I almost sank in a few times. Noticed a few along the way take a tumble. Some good photos available on the following link:

Only a bit tricky underfoot! My shins are ripped to shreds from ice cuts and I lost 15 places whilst stuck in a bog. Loved it.
