It is - but usually towards the end of the race!

Bit cold up there today! Should have sported one of DJ's fancy coats

Was about to take a leak before the race in a quiet spot miles from anyone but was disturbed by a fellow who turned out to be Merrylegs!...had time for a quick chat before i had to seek a quiet place to finish what id started

Enjoyed the race and was waiting at the finish to cheer Merrylegs and any others in when someone kindly pointed out my gashed fetlock....enough blood to impress the kids who were frozen in the car after junior races....had to limp away....couldnt feel it as it was cut by ice plunging into a bog (im not normally heavy enough to crack ice)

    Hope you enjoyed it Steve!

Sorry to disturbe your call of nature Master, but i too was looking for a good spot to delubricate. Managed to stay upright only just. Avoided a pile up in front of me. It was a Club pile up so i didn't want to gatecrash. Sorry to hear about the fetlock, hope its not serious, vets bills are extortionate these days. Good race, thoroughly enjoyed it. Warm down took about .3 of a nano second then i was freezing again, All the best for Christmas you ponies, see ya soon.

I picked up exactly the same injury - fetlock gash caused by ice, didn't notice the blood until I'd washed the mud off. Which leg, Master? Mine was the right.

Managed to miss all the other Ponies; I guess most vests were hidden beneath windproof tops. I was running in my CVFR hoops today, but will be donning the horse blanket for the Coley Canter.

    Both my front legs

The right one was caked in blood but disappointingly minor when i got home and scrubbed all the mud and horsehair off tho

Ice skates would have been good today, we could have had Ponies on ice for crimbo or even ice horse hockey, or should that be ice polo

Merrylegs, etiquette please, I hope you did not surprise the Master in his compromised position, you did not stop him midflow did you!!!
The correct dose of levothyroxine should get you back up to speed though its take a while to know what the correct dose is.
There seemed to be quite a lot of blood and snot about today, isn't that right master, glad I was otherwise engaged.
Merry Christmas to all, hope to see some of you on Xmas recce.

Always seem to walk in or open my mouth at the wrong time I'll get me coat. Had this underactive thyroid thingy for about seven years now. Got to go back to vets early next year for more tests. He's been upping me dosage the past year. Runs in the stable, me dad had it and so does my sister, but hey people have had worse, I'll just keep on keeping on. No blood from me, i'm too tight, but plenty of snot. Everyone have a good Xmas recce, wish i could be there but too busy with family, stay safe

Your placing of 15th was particularly impressive then if you actually did the whole race on all fours, rather than just the slippery bits like the rest of us.
