Exalted company indeed. I really like the t-shirt you're modelling in AW this week by the way!

Last day and entries are going nicely.

Mens- noticed we now have Michael Aspinall (L&M) and Rob Berry (S/port Waterloo) added.

Women - Helen Clitheroe and Vicky Gill - that will be a race - the run of VG in the Leyland 10K was very quick and would be worth a 32:?? on the RV course.

    Still time to enter online.

If you plan to enter on the day - get there early!!

What's the entry limit Richard? It's been updated and got to 1000 2 minutes before I put my entry in.
Pre-entry is the kiss of death for me, I'll probably get some lurgy or injury in the next 22 hrs now!

Witton Park if you don't mind - don't get too familiar

1,000 limit, but with the new permit regulations the numbers can go higher (allegedly).

I don't think we are at 1,000 yet. The numbers are being allocated online from 1,000 down, and for postal entries from 1 upwards, that's why they are converging at around 600 at the moment.
A few slots are always kept for elite runners - we tend to get one or two along at the last minute!

Heck, was 1999 when I last did this one. Not injury free or fit enough for a road race just yet. It's a nice course and a well organised event, don't let the 1st flat mile get the better of you. Good look everyone.

I agree Ady about that 1st mile. I'm just under 39min at best, so 6:15 per mile is about where I should be.
5:50 is usually where I have been - so a good tip is to try to hold a little back on the 1st mile - at least if you are just a regular runner out for a decent time.

You will get sucked in to it though. Watch for our Chairman at the mile point giving you your splits.

Just entered. Will use it as a benchmark for my 'improvement' next year. Will be very slow.

Not sure at present whether I will be able to run due to twisted ankle yesterday. I will wait till morning to decide if ok. Was hoping to get a good time alas I don't think its going to happen at the minute. Keeping my Fingers crossed I will make it.

My good time at the moment will be anything under 45 mins. Not run on the road for months.
