8 miles in the snow and mud this morning - can't decide whether to back it up with a nice recovery jog tonight or whether to go to the pub???

I was going to come and join the PFPR's tonight but was too late setting out.

Had to do with a run round Deepcar. 7 miles.

Just been for my coldest ever run. Was -24 C on the thermometer outside of my house.

Had thermal everything on and a full face balaclava. Even so I never got remotely warm but I loved it.

    Re: Today's Training

I did my usual run by Kinder Downfall last night, but this time at night. A bit of an adventure!

It was very dark, thick mist, pretty strong winds, very cold, frozen underfoot with a light dusting of snow. I had balaclava and windproof overmits on which kept me warm (as it wasn't -25!), and my Silva LX headtorch. Apart from going a fair bit slower than normal, the only real problem was following the route past Kinder Low. I tried to go via the trig point, realised that would be rather tricky, then couldn't find the path on to the Downfall. After I found it again it was then much easier to follow, but still relied a lot on my memory of the route!

6 miler on roads. I think I might be going down with something because my legs were definitely running low on petrol . Either that or I've been overdoing it a bit.
