As mentioned by Bleaklow....
Hayfield Fell Races / KFR website @ http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/~temples/hc/
Steve T has created & maintains a very good list of our "local" races + links, there are other such sites out there too.

Miss Muddy Paws Dad....
Not clever & often stupid..
This is a very useful map of where the Scottish hill races are located. Perhaps a few, regional, English and Welsh equivalents could magically materialise: http://scottishhillracing.co.uk/Map.aspx
Dark peak equivalant here
The Glossopdale site already has one
Here's a quick hack that I've done. http://www.aqvi55.dsl.pipex.com/run/races.htm
You can either select an area to see all the races in that area or a UK postcode and a distance value to see all races within that radius from the postcode.
There are only fifteen races or so and only the Lakes and Yorkshire as areas but it is just proof of concept.
I've added pretty well all the Lakes races - the popup that appears when you hover over a marker now shows basic details and links to any associated website. The markers are colour coded according to the length of the race. http://www.aqvi55.dsl.pipex.com/run/races.htm
Now just need to do the rest of the country!
