I've done the snowdon race the last couple of years and was thinking of entering the cadair idris race this year to help with the training. Can anyone tell me how this compares to snowdon?

Great day out. Dolgellau is a great place to start from and arrive back at. Not the most interesting of routes up the mountain. Road to begin with, then paths through fields, across road onto hill. Gradual climb up to summit with steep bit in middle and steep rocky bit near to top, care needed if rock is wet.
Nice effect when the drummers start up in the village when you get back down to the finish. Nice race but quite a bit of road to get to Cader and then on the return route back to the village. Saying that I did enjoy the race and will be back again this year as long as I get my pass out signed, stamped and authourised by her who must be obeyed

Got the date in the diary now Gaz. Brummy John might fancy it this year as well. How about trying to swing a night out in Dolgellau after the race? Should be able to get a cheap B&B or we can even pitch the tent on the rugby field next to the car park!?!
