It is Winter League policy that U12 race starts 12 noon prompt and other races follow, with minimum of delay between each race. At least one senior failed to make last weeks start at Firbank so be there early. You can always help with the junior race finishes. Its good to help and we may reward you with a free senior race entry.
News from the course today is that the going (racing term) is good to firm on junior courses. The seniors course is soft to wet to very wet, with firm patches.

Thanks for the info HHH & HHC. Look out for the only Blackburn Harriers HHH - it will be good to put a face to you.
The lads that have been for the Sedbergh Hills and Howgills Howler loved them, so expect more of us this year.

I will see you tomorrow with 2 x U17W - the age group has thrown my 2 daughters together - 1 is U17W top of age and one is U15 bottom normally - so should be interesting - young un is favourite - but Melanie Hyder will more likely than not be the one to beat.
I'll have a bash as well, but wife is struggling this week.

What's Tim on about? Have I missed something?

Oh, er, ah, no, actually the race route is fine as it is....

    That about sums it up.
There are those that do and those that don't.
Where would the world be without us!

    Glad you enjoyed it.
A true test of what I won't ask but the positive comment makes the effort of flagging the course worthwhile.

That was the greatest mud bath ever - thank you!

A top course and possibly unique - flagged and with route choice!

You find your own way through the bogs (thats most of the course).
By the way the sun was shining on Saturday so the route looked obvious!!

Nats and I both reckoned it only seemed half as long on the way back in too!

Highlight of the race was hearing tom and mark being reprimanded by billy for going the wrong way!

Good on yer Billy! for asserting your authority
Plays havoc on one's senility when the youngsters have chosen to go the wrong way. Trying to avoid the upstarts emerging up the steep bank whilst Billy and myself were caught between slapping the brakes on and offering abuse, must have cost us a nano-second.
WELL DONE to anyone that got around today, medals should have been awarded for non-fallers. I fell on a flag, missed the eye by half and inch.
