I did an orienteering event that looped round Great Stickle - the last checkpoint on the Dunnerdale race and somewhere I have been many, many times.

Although I saw a trig point as I was running, it wasn't till I sat down at home that I realised where I had been. (Unlike a friend who looked at the map a went "Great Stickle, must be that way"!)

If you want to see where it went go to http://www.loc.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#58 and look for the Blue course, controls 2 and 3.

I thought it was probably the Clwydians, but couldn't remember how to spell it! Don't think I've ever been further north than Penycloddiau.

Is the English one also in the border area?
