    I got this one.

    http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/M...erproof-jacket

    the Montane Velocity.

It's suitable for both running and cycling, packs down small, is light and does what it says on the tin

although I also have a Montane featherlite and an OMM kamlieka smock - seem to be collecting them like trainers

A good jacket but the same caveat applies as to the other jacket mentioned earlier. It does not have a hood so might not pass the kit check at some races.

I'm sure mine has a hood?! I'll check later.

I bought a cycling jacket earlier in the year, it is a gore paclite one and it is fab... then decided to enter the OMM and needed another waterproof jacket, with taped seems AND a hood!!!

So I had to buy another expensive jacket, as the cycling one comes without the required hood. I bought the Haglofs LIM jacket, it is fantastic both for fell running and on the bike. I now dont use the bike one anymore. If only I had known about the hood issue for the OMM when I first bought the bike jacket...

Get yourself over to TK Maxx at Crystal Peaks - they've got some pretty nice Nike / Goretex Paclite hi-viz jackets for £70. Nobody seems to be going for them at the mo cos they're pretty garish and rather expensive considering the usual fare is Craghoppers or Trespass.

Actually, whilst looking for a piccy, I found Bourne Sports are doing the same coat for the same price:
