A good 11m with Mrs.Crumblydown and Lily the dog from Hollingworth Lake up Blackstone Edge, across to Windy Hill then back past Piethorne Res to the lake.

Hills and Guinness!
Just back from family holiday in North Wales... The pyramid shape of Gyrn Goch (near Clynog Fawr) was just there to be done. About 1600+ft and about a 5 mile round trip... Ber-luddy steep once out above the trees (reminiscent of Clough Head) and scrambly at the top, but well worth it:thumbup:. The return leg not runnable until half of the descent done.. good fun. Two days previously had done the adjacent Bwlch Maur (can't spell it, let alone pronounce it, but it's about the same height) and had an encounter with about the biggest bull I have ever seen... thankfully, he was the other side of a broken wall and didn't move towards us. If we'd had the dog with us, it might have been a different matter... 16 year old Luke had never seen anything like it!... sharp exit stage left.

After suffering from a complete snot out with a cold the week before the week before last and being away camping in the lakes the week week before last, this last week (if you're still with me and managed to follow that) turned into a complete runathon - during the week I did 5 or 6 miles round Ogden Water on Monday evening, 5 or so in the Settle hills Tuesday, 4 at Ogden Wednesday, 5 again on Thursday in Settle and 3.5 with my eldest daughter on Friday evening.
And this weekend I went from my normal anti-social solo running stolly to an extremely social (and forum friendly) stolly. I ran 15 miles out of Austwick with Chubbs on Saturday morning, taking in Nick Pot, Simon Fell, Park Feel, Ingleborough and Little Ingleborough.... and feeling completely fecking shattered at the end. Thanks for the pint in the Game Cock after though Chubbs. And today I did circa 10 miles around Plover Hill and Pen y Ghent with Hes - as a garmin geek I'm sure she'll be able to confirm exactly how far we went - who, considering she's not run off road for 6 or so weeks having torn ligaments in her ankle, I was very relieved to get round without her turning it again. Fabulous couple of pints of tea in the Pen y Ghent cafe after too.
And my running didn't end there - my younger daughter came in from work this afternoon and dragged me for another 3.5 miles in the Settle hills.
Something like a 51 mile week then

Nice to see that Chubbs and I are helping to resocialise you Stolly!
Thanks for the run. It was brilliant to be on the fells again. Garmin says 9.2m, 1,778' (I stopped it when we de-bogged Dirty Harry).
My training has been mainly cycling lately due to my ankle but last Saturday I did 40m on the bike, 18m on Monday, 16m on Tuesday, 4.4m running (tentatively on the road/flat) Wednesday, 3.2m running on road Friday and today's 9.2m proper running.

A tad under 16 miles and 4100 up and down. Had another skip around the Calder Valley Round. Nice, a pb of 3:11 to boot!
18m 2,000ft near Haworth. Last LSR before the YORM.
8 miles 1600' climb and surprised a sheep or two on the way :D
No country for old men.
