I'm crocked at the moment so had a leisurely stroll round this with a mate who is a walker. Stopped off at new cricket club cafe at Old Town for morning coffee. Clocked up 6-15 which must be a record........ for the slowest time

MM, good arrows. I will be having a trot round on saturday Morning. What are the stones down to pecket like?
At the pace we were going no problem at all!! They were not as greasy as I thought they might be so should be Ok for running down if your shoes have reasonable grip. The path across Erringdon moor is very obvious now and the path through the nature reserve was quite churned up - probably from The Hebden traffic!
Thanks for the info, I will post later on Saturday.
Might have to have a bash at this soon - not knowing the area particularly well I'll probably have a slow route-finding trot round, then a full tilt at it when more confident with it all. Looks like a good route though.
Just back from a nice round. pb of 2:55:56. Saw two Roe deer at Jockey Gate. they ran accross the path, I froze, they froze, we watched each other for a minute, then they ghosted off. Great. Also saw some Lamas in a field near there. Very eclectic.
