Hmmmm..........I wonder what size his Walshes are?
He best recover soon, the vultures are circling.
Hmm, I can see the Divorcocycle morphing into the moley-murderocycle as we speak!![]()
Poor Toff looked pretty peaky when I saw him yesterday. He's had 5 operations (I think...it's diificult to keep track) in the last week, lost a bucket of blood and still has some unknown nasty bug rampaging around in what's left of his bod. True to form, the bug is so far evading identification by the finest bug-brains in the University of Wales...must be a new strain. Perhaps a Tofferocillus?
What this has done to our plans for a 2010 event is anyone's guess at the mo'....watch this space.
We can always make it into a bug chase...
They don't know what it was that rampaged around my body either in December, when I came back from Nepal, but ultimately, whatever it was has left my body now... So I am sure Toff will be able to achieve the same!
I trust you brought him our very best wishes and comiserations?
Poor old beggar, that all sounds horrific, even for an indistructible Steambunny. Looks like a long convelascance (fell running that is) will be in order.
Perhaps an alternative winter adventure instead .......
Just chatted with the old chap on his moby. He is trying to turn a corner...at least things aren't going backwards any more. He is VERY disappointed to hear of the predatory tendancies of his erstwhile adventure mates and has therefore appointed me as his Enforcer-In-Chief and Head of Mavic Security. Thus, any of you who fancies a piece of him will have to come through me first!![]()
Oh, and just to let you know, things are still looking up now. He has had his wound closed and is feeling better today. Vultures beware! The mavics have had stealth charges placed in them designed to go off when they hit 25 mph...something Toffer never does anymore!![]()
Oh well, I never cared for bikes anyway and his fell shoes were probably 3 sizes too big. Best welcome him back to the land of the geriatric fellrunners. Good news and a big relief for us all, has he got any stairs in Cardiff hospital to start his training on?
I think any ideas of training are, sadly, a long way off. I'll be seeing him tomorrow so more update then.
