    I've put shoe goo on the part of exposed mesh between the rubbery bit around the toes and the plastic bits on the side. It does stiffen them up a little (i'd thought I'd ruined them at first) but it has stopped them blowing out and I've had no problems running in them.

    Will try this http://www.amazon.co.uk/McNett-Black.../dp/B000SCJQYQ on my next pair as it makes a flexible rubbery layer which hopefully won't crack - see back shoe.
