Tanners - Yeoman Hey Res - Dovvies Quarries - Plantation - Greenfield...1:14:31hr....Recovery Run...
What a fantastic evening, the colours in The Chew were amazing, not a ripple on Dovestones Res (like glass) and the gritstone as I ran through the quarries was lit almost a deep amber by the setting sun...headtorch to finish....
Some runs, the memory will stay with you for a long long time, this was one of those runs :)

Hmmm, well they said last week that tonight’s session will be abit easier than last weeks.
We didn’t have a coach telling us what we should do last night, there is a set schedule to follow so we all just set off and got on with it.
I had my little lost sheep face on as i arrived (and had to go and buy a day-pass) so i walked up to a guy and asked him "is this the 7pm session". I got introduced to about everyone and they all seemed to like to shake hands with me. I got put with this guy who gets 41 minute 10k's as thats around what i go in the RunPreston. So i used him as my pace maker all night. But to be truthful, even though my knee was screaming out i felt like i could have run with someone slightly faster.
44:22min easy, lower level in The Chew....clag was in making it darker than dark can be for 5pm.....
8 miles hilly road run (c68mins) including the long drag up Woodhall Lane between Calverley & Pudsey.
Recovery run - 12 miles in 99 minutes.
75mins off-road headtorcher with the club last night. Nice to have Penguin and Antisocial back :)
Yesterdays: 90 mins trugging over the moors. Thought I'd go wild and go through an open access area with no paths. Spent about half an hour trying to jog (at best) through heather, bogs and burnt back skeletal vegetation. Still, came across some nice new areas and a great descending path off Pinhaw. Generally though; cold, wet and slow.
Club night run from Midhope. Just under 2 hours trying to pick the way up and around Margery Hill and environs. Paths tend to be frowned upon so it's all heather & bog bashing....
Same run as JODG
just about dried out :)
Ahem and........IDP
8 miles of heather bashing, swamp swimming, and whiskey drinking:o
and 1100ft of climbing.
Bleaklow today not a soul around 11 miles 1500ft, foot tender but not hurting:)
