Well done Pinno, good running. Managed to get you on the 1st batch.
Good turnout yesterday, a nice dry day out on the bike for me. Even Parbold Hill seemed shorter than I remembered going home.

Looking forward to a few days' in the hills ...

Elliptical thingy and weights last night. Rower, weights and swim this morning.
A nice 8 miles on the trails around Pex Hill last night in the Rain.
7ml with club from Skipton last night. We got told off for talking too loudly by the quizmaster in the Narrowboat afterwards; t'was blooming funny :D.Good evening and been a good summer for pub runs
Glorious evening for it yesterday. Twilight 2 hr run from Langsett over to Cut Gate then across the moors to res via Howden Clough (reverse 'Mickleden' route you could say) before turning back.
Only one other person out - a cyclocross guy - we kept bumping into each other. He spent a lot of time carrying his bike on the moor.
If we'd have known we'd have joined you Jan.
We (Russ and I) went to the club run at the Snake eeerrrmmmmm except we were a week early:o
Ran up Fairbrook to the "hidden stashe" up on to the top to seal stones and then decided to take in the wreck NW of Sandy Heys found . picked this up and dropped in to the gloom to pick up the other wreck below the edge and set off to the Snake path and the shooting hut. out with torches except i'd left mine in the car
Managed to get back to the car ok though.

Gentle 5mi run round some hilly lanes near me with the headtorch on at 5 this morning. First time I've ran on the road for any proper length since my injury, and - touch wood - knee feels fine.
Bit sore on the balls. Of my feet, that is. Was going most of the way round on my forefoot. Not used to that. Easy on my knee, but calves are quite sore now.
Otherwise, a lovely crisp morning for it.:)
Managed a nice two hours over the hills last night. It the first long run in my 11 week get your arse around the full tour training plan.
Jamie
Quickest time yet round Half Tour. Had to double back on the way to CP2 to look for my water bottle which fell out my belt.:o

Great run, great weather, and great company. :)
Saturday 12th. I went over Win Hill from Yorkshire Bridge and onto Loose Hill, heading for YHA in Edale and onto Kinder. I was caught up just before Back Tor by a lass from Totley AC who was moving much better than I was much to my concern as she came striding past me. We decided to team up and she paced me (towed me!!) around Kinder plateau and back up onto Win Hill on a glorious hot afternoon. It was a real eye opener as to how unfit I'd become in a year off and ached like hell on Sunday. As I didnt catch the girls name, too knackered to ask I wonder if any one knows who she might be, young henna'd shrtish hair and blue eyes, as she was going well and potentially pondering a BGR in a year or so. She'd just been with a Totley team two weeks ago on a Welsh 3000 weekend and it looks like a BG should be a formality for her.
Tonights race was the crashout special.
killer climb flatish run up to Kinder trig then B4lls out descent and straight back down the killer climb.
not expecting any thing other than a plod round at the back after yesterday but surprisingly came third in a PB
this running lark is strange
3.2 miles 1,200ft
Whoooooop!:D:D
Could you have won on fresh legs then.;)

This morning's run.
Was supposed to start at 5, but remembered about a few work e-mails that needed doing.
Was supposed to be 5mi, but remembered I'm going to run with the club tonight for the first time in a year.
Left with a 3.6mi run and c700ft of climb. Allowing for Garmin's generosity, I reckon that's about 100ft then!:D
Yesterday's 2nd run (8.5mi and 1444Gft):
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/13390816
First club run of the year, rounded off with a nice beer and packet of scampi fries.
Bit of a twinge on my knee towards the end, but was able to ease off a bit. Stretched off properly. No niggles today.
first warts run of he year
cold night, torch run over Kinder from snake inn. 6.8 miles 1,400ft
me too, ran from home to Bradfield and back via Strines road.
wanted to run the hills but the beaters were out and there was a shoot on:(
went quite hard esp on the hills and threw in a couple of fast flats
12 miles 1,500ft on that stuff thats like cinder toffee:p also 1.30 hours.
might be out during the day with Marvin next Wed, do you fancy that.
5 Miles up Hameldon this morning, can feel somthing that resembles fitness coming back and even thought I sensed some speed at one point! I followed this with 2 hours on the crosser over hill and moor including 3 good steep carry sections.
Did a cracking session yesterday which was as much a mental as physical test - three times straight up and down Pen Ur Ole Wen from Ogwen the direct way. Up, down, drink at car which was parked by the stile, repeat twice, drive to Pete's Eats.
6800' ascent and descent, one ommelette, one plate of chips, one pint of tea. Then one drive home with window down and radio on loud! Brilliant :)
Ran almost all of the old G&BI route with Datt this morning. Plus the 5miles to/from home. Only had sun for the last 20mins, rest of the time was overcast but warm. Kn**cked now.
