After 2 miles it became a topless run over Hameldon hill and a loop back home after work at 1pm today. In the name of improvement, the uneven hard packed trail up the Coppice has been tarmaced!!!
oh topless!!!
I know about the track! How bad is that still will be lots of fun in winter when it is icy!!

Half Tour of Pendle for an early wake up run this morning. Intended to get there earlier than I did (0640) but still needed the headtorch to start with. As I got to the top you could see the lights beginning to twinkle as everyone woke up. Lovely crisp hill outlines, with a bit of mist lying in the valleys. Very peaceful.
Ready to face the day after that!:)
Back running again, 3m to work, 5m home then out for hill reps with CVFR juniors, no pain from shin, excellent, plod on:cool:
4 miles easy run but couldn't resist a sprint up to top of Bradlow knoll (which is Ledbury's highest "peak" at least a good 5 mins of up!) back to proper training tomorrow...
(for all of you that follow the barefoot thread, I did about half a mile in barefoot carrying my new 285's!)
10 miles and a bit at lunchtime. Loving lunch time runs but you got to remember to eat a good brunch at 10.00. ahh the joys of self employment...
6.5 ish up Hameldon and down past Baxenden golf club. Felt 1/2 runner like and achilles did not seem to mind getting out. Let's hope I can build further on it and start thinking about doing a race or 3 over winter ;)
Ady - I thought your training incvolved eating pies today!!:)
8.2 miles 2,600ft
Roughly a version of SYWSYL by torch light
Yorkshire Bridge Win Hill, ran all the way up Lose Hill with Darth of the DS, then up Fulwood farm to the ridge along tree line and picked up new Hope route round the back of Win hill. another hard fast session

7 miles trail run
Beasty session yesturday before work.
Off-road 4 miles across the fields near me to a hill - it's kind of a big decent into a valley/river and its beltin for hill reps.
I did 3 reps first.....ran to the top, touched the gate and turned round and flew back down and had 2 minutes rest.
Then did the same - 3 reps but with 1:30 rest.
Took me about 2 minutes - 2 minytes 10 to get the the top...and 1 minute to get back down.:D
Then about 3-4 miles across the fields back home.
Either Langdale is still very much in my legs, or that session was a real toughy because i was knackered!!! - either that or both.:D
Had a run in with a massive heard of cows...and a miserable game-keeper.
7 and a bit trail with rather steep twisty and technical descent which was well and truley bombed down! First head torch run of the year but only needed for about 20 mins before sun was out.
2.4 mile on the Rehab trail
Good to be back on this thread:)
At the beginning of today's training session I felt like this......
