I think 'Can't be arsed to sort the injury' mode is probably about right!

I did 13 miles on Monday, all in one go :D.
16 of us out, 70 miles briskish and just managed to stay dry. Back to work tonight, 8 days soon passes
10 miles to bank to get a statement to see how much brass i blew on holiday:eek::eek::eek: Who said camping in France was cheap:(
frogs are thieves!
did the 40 mile loop to abergavenny with toffee
.....yes he lives!
Will miss the training ride this morning due to having to go to bed . Doing a 12 hour night shift and then going out for an 80+ mile hard ride is not big or clever so I am going to bed. Soon. But I'll have a run this aft instead.
66 miles this morning, 1/2 of it in very wet conditions. Forecast non to sexy for the rest of the week either. Never mind, I'm back to work in the morning and will be off for the schorching weekend to come
I did 13.1 miles (that's a 1/2M you know :)) Friday evening, pretending to be Tom Gibbs ...................................I failed miserably :o.
3 hour loop up the Kymin, over to murder layby, through the forest down to the wye, over biblins bridge, up the doward, down to whitchurch, the long pull up to llangrove and then down old shop via welsh newton. And it absolutely pi$$ed it down. Got home looking like a drowned rat!
Probably the worst summer weather I have been out in. Floods up to the hubs, lashing rain & hail, strong gusts and a snapped chain and pucture thrown in for good measure. 77 fast hilly miles up to Ribblehead and Ingleton & back over Bowland Knotts - glad to be back home.
Almost as bad a China then!
Does me good to be reminded why i packed in cycling.
I also got soaked today on my 20 mile run but somehow it was enormously enjoyable. A sodden singlet enabled me to wipe the stickiness off my fingers (from my spilt drink).
My old cycling mates are convinced I'll return to two wheels one day when my joints are Donald Ducked but I'm hoping to prove them wrong.
Sleepless in the saddle 24hr race on saturday. Awfull conditions. I really need some sleep!
40miles for me just at 18mph, not my usual hilly route , a bit more flat
loads of bloody roadworks have sprang up around here :(
20 miles yesterday, (quick spin before going to get told off by the fizzio!) only got 'nearly' run over 3 times so a decrease which is nice
Turbo today :(
2 and a bit hilly hours up the valley and over Llanwonno forest to Ferndale then back via Porth, Tylorstown and Ponty!!! Names to really conjure with! Stunning scenery when I was able to look hanging onto Aggers Minor's coat tails. Some interesting points; don't stop at the traffic lights in Ferndale if you want to keep your wheels, even the pound shop has closed there!
And, special gold star for anyone who can tell me the fell running connection of Llanwonno (Wheeze excluded).
Toffey! You've found the secret underground passage back to the pub!
As expected I got absolutely drenched going out this morning, many of the back roads out past Longridge were flooded, one just past Claughton had a river running down it in full flow from verge to verge and we still had to cycle upstream! Not as bad coming back but stuck to the A roads. Another good clean down and lube of the stead just now after a soggy 55 miles or so.
Hilly sub 40 ish. Yup, past that pub again. Sally's discount store in Ferndale is now closed(next to the closed pound shop). This was a socially aware bike ride.
12miles on bike including 4pubs last night :-)
Matlock and back or me last night = 40miles, realised on the way back I was late for a family booked meal:o
Got a bollocking when I got back
Been out on the 35k course (nant yr aran) on the MTB, beat my PB by quite a bit and dipped under the 21/2 hr for first time ever :). Been quicker the course was dry, had to take it very staedy on the downhills. Happy but knackered Moley :D.
Well done Moley, getting fit for the next thing....
Today, well actually yesterday, well really Sunday, so it shouldn't be in this thread really.....but anyway....sort of a Bwlch Bike Bash: Start at Blackmill, up the Bwlch, down to Treorchy, up the Rhigos, then back the way we came with a little snifter over to look at Abergwynfi, then hooligan descent and try and trip the speed camera!! Only 38miles, but loads and loads of climbing. Wheeze, me and big bad bro nailing the tarmac:D:D Brill
I am very worried. I submitted my fat arse to 3 hours of torture by saddle and took on over 1200m of climbing by bike for the first time ever. Why am I worried??....I really enjoyed it! I can sense the pull of a full time addiction!
Well, I've already got most of the kit. My bike goes just as well as a megabucks Divorcocycle or some black plastic framed Scott thingy an' I got padded shorts and a funny helmet. Mindyou, I was casting jealous eyes at Toffers swanky CO2 tyre inflater! And I suppose I'll want a computer thingy but thats hardly gonna bust the bank is it??;)
14 mile with my 11 year old son over White hill moor.
Clag, wind, rain and he loved it.
Even the point when he fell off up hill and rolled down a 7 foot ditch into long grass, the only bit visable was his trainers and socks, but he was laughing his head off.
He goes down hill better than me on the rough stuff:o
Just noticed this:
ITV4 tonight - 7p.m. - 8p.m.

12m wet and windy ride today, dry underpants required:eek:
To LIncoln and back on my new bike
Prob about 80odd miles
:)
edge hill and back 30 miles
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
Pootling around the Menswear section of a large London Department Store whilst the ladies of the household gorged themselveas in the Lingerie section (or whatever it is they do...a dark mystery. Men not allowed) when I came across a strategically placed section offering velocipede pornography....acres of shimmering carbon fibre, rainbow lycra and twinkling gadgets. I got a distinctly wet gusset. Am I in trouble?:eek:
Highgate...Mainstone...WhaleyB...Long Hill....Erwood...Derbyshire Bridge....(in sight of Tinkers'spit Gutter, honest)....Axe Edge..Flash.... Long long lovely razz to Longnor... sneaky approach to Quiet Women (closed for their take-away sunday tea-time Chinese Meal)... Brierlow Bar.... Harpur Hill...Bxtn' bits... Long Hill again.... & gentle'ish (A6:eek:) bit back home... Hilly??? yep a bit... not that far but...not a bad couple of hours or so.... had to stop & stare a bit at possible Eagle Owl (heading done to Erwood)???? and Chrome & Parkhouse coral reef (magic)... sublime really!
Lucky... yes...
A very wet but enjoyable road tour of lower Wharfedale. Addingham - Ilkley - Bolton Abbey - Halton East - Addingham
