My missus Helen did her BGR exactly a year ago. She wrote an account of it at the time, but being a modest lass decided to keep it to herself. We were just crossing Little Narrowcove on the OCT last Saturday (not in the best conditions I have to say) and were discussing her BGR and how time flies. After finishing the Welsh 1000metres on Saturday on the hottest day of the year, in the top half, and after only fell racing for a year, and spending 10 minutes face down on the Pyg Track with cramp from pushing too hard, I'm still unhappy and it will be in my mind until next year.

I used to occasionally do reps on a hill 260ft high (about two-thirds the height of Trooper Lane). 4 reps usually, I think I managed 6 once, definitely not 10. Then after one session I decided that it was just too painful, and never did them again.Quote:
