I have survived a 30 min run yesterday and 45 min today, both on the flat.

I shall be at Capt Cooks wearing a Pony vest, but expect to be cantering rather than galloping :D

First outing of the year at the Capt Cook race, although took it very careful so as not to aggravate my weak calf.

Pony vest but official club on entry/results for me at Giants Tooth - plenty of Ponies present in various guises - Merry & Crumblydown being the only real 'independent' ones, not sure who Tussockface was representing today?;)

Eastenders came on, and she that must be obeyed objects at my rantings, so i thought I would pop on here for a minute.
ML, DJ ,MG Trog what are you all up to, sledges out no doubt, I have just about recovered from a bad cold after Cooks race, so just as well for me that Clay Bank East is off as i would have had to spectate.
Hope to get out on hills soon............. :)

Well on monday I went up from Osmotherly through the res onto Hambleton Hills....but it was knee deep so turned back and along past Chequers...10K.
unfortunately that was my only bid for freedom as the Hebden recce was called off today so have been on the treaders 3 times this week. (OG and DJ went out on moors today but I couldn't make it) Weekly total so far 21 miles. Going upto Whitburn tomorrow so will have a jog round Cleadon hills (not really hills) or if anyone else has any other reasonable offers?

Bit fooking depressed at the mo, but plenty of time to get a trot in, need to stay motivated and not feel sorry for myself!!!!

me and oven gloves went from osmotherley almost to the Gliding club before getting fed up of the bollock deep snow and turning back. 13 miles of sort of running.

If you have money saved i cud do with a lend as the "old boiler" packed in (no not the missus) had no heating or hot water for a week in sub zero conditions. and just had new one put in today by my mate, luckily at trade price. So I have had a sulk on, with manflu as well huh!!!! Toasty warm now

Hope the Rice Pudding BOYflu clears up soon, i have something coming on but it ain't a job, still waiting to hear from up and running, they promised to let me know one way or another;)

He might as well have been. The crafty devil made sure he ran behind me so I cleared a track through the snow for him to trot merrily along :D

I have been curled up in my loose box liking my wounds ;)

Run every day so far this year and think that I am injury free again, just need to maintain it now. Dug out my old orienteering shoes which have metal studs in, so I have been running up the pavement faster than the cars sliding up the road, but once on the terrain its really hard going.

A new book called "BEST OF THE FELLS" will be out soon it has been written and compiled by Pete Hooper all profits will go to mountain rescue, I think that our man Amex may be mentioned. As soon as it comes out i will be buying it............

We've still got snow in our garden AK however it is nice and peaceful as she has gone in to work, problem is when it's snowing up here, it's just raining in South Manchester,ah well I'd still sooner live where we are;)

I know nothing about Hebden seems I am out of the loop, I did in the past get info off a posh civil servant but that has gone by the wayside, i have been cast aside like an old fell shoe:(
