:o not sure I want to post on this thread immediately after you guys
...err..... I went for a run this morning - THAT's ALL!
Usual slow distance stuff over the weekend, must concentrate on speed work and hill reps for the next week.
Out for a couple of runs with a few mates over the week-end - nothing too strenuous:D but I know someone who needs to improve on his road running - it was only 10 miles, how hard could that be?
About 9 miles along the sea front at Los Alcazares in Spain.
Temperature around 27 C at 10am. Pure blue sky.
Pity they have no real ale here.
Swoop thats me and thee out in the sunshine. Im over here in New Hampshire USA and yes the only downside here is also the lack of real ale. What is the matter with these people!!
Track again last night - not used to this. Its hard and boring but it does improve speed.
Pav - lucky you - although it will be hot. I travelled out to the Middle East for five years and ran in some beautiful places. If you have time then rent a car and escape the heat and bluster of Dubai; head over to the East Coast and there are mountains (well, BIG hills) offering some very challenging terrain. You can also get in to the Musandem Peninsula (part of Oman) and run in some amazing scenery. I used to run from the sea up the hills then back to the sea and wade in for a cooling dip. Also good terrain around Hatta on the Oman border. Enjoy!
Zero:D
Cycling - 30 miles at AVG of 21mph. Flat route but a decent workout nevertheless.
(And not on me good bike btw.)
Just over an hour in the rain (7.5 miles) - it was quite refreshing then (5.45-6.45ish) though a bit greasy on the grassier sections. Saw the Pudsey Beck heron again:)
nowt for me too!
Unless using the power of swearing to get an exhaust apart counts???
Havent done anything for 14 weeks :(
Surely I can't be injured forever?
Zippo!!:D
This is now officially the no training thread!
8 x 2 mins off 1 min jog. On grass. Very good. 15 mins warm up/down.
Shattered now, but in a very nice sort of way. :)
just been in the gym.
Lifting weights and putting em down again, sooooo exciting!
The view wasn't bad thou!
Got home late, was pissing down and windy. Have put off my 13mile marathon pace run until tomorrow.
(so thats another nowt then)
Nowt here either - no excuses, just having an easier week.
well 15 miles with my wild camping rucksack on
bloody hard work
3 pints in wetherspoons , im knackered but content:o
nowt nowt and more nowt to come:o
home alone all weekend with the chidlers so endless hours of monopoly if it's raining - please make the sun shine:(
Excellent effort Emm, aiming for nowt myself!
Me too, Emm, but my sister is coming up for the weekend but her and her family DO NOT RUN:confused:
Should be a noisy w/e but quiet on the running front.
I just went for a run :)
I'll be at the gym this afternoon!
Knee dosen't appear to be getting any better!
Could not resist temptation. 10 minutes around the park. Felt bloody good. :D And no bad reaction as yet. Better rest now though. Don't want to overdo it.:)
five miles over to great hill, boot camp style training with OH kicking my ass all the way trying to make me go faster ;) :D
Oliver Hardy
13 miles at controllled heartrate (hopefully the HR I can sustain in the marathon next week)
Reasonably pleased with the result (6:26 pace) as the effort seemed to be well within my comfort zone.
I wonder if i should aim for a slightly higher average HR or stick with the plan? after all it's gonna be 13 miles more than today. TBH the hills around Windermere are gonna play havoc with any plan to run at a steady HR anyway but I need to get this sorted so I can run an autumn (flatter) marathon knowing exactly what to be aiming for.
Stop it! :D
