Rules look spot on to me. I'll send an entry for TWA once the kids are asleep, and hopefully bring a car load of other dark peak folk too!

Thanks to you also. I recognise that ROs need a framework to give them some legal protection but as a runner (and I think many of us share this view) I'd rather be responsible for my own actions and decisions. Its why I've sometimes had some flak on here for asking simple questions, usually about kit - Like most of us I'm capable of deciding for myself what kit I need for a particular race but if the RO is operating in a framework that requires him/her to specify waterproofs (for example, as the FRA now does for many races), or just has a personal preference that runners in their event carry a particular bit of kit I like to know so I dont inadvertently break the rules.
Psst...I should not tell people this! but Wynny hands out prizes to every "100th" entry..and since we are just about to trigger that again, it is worth getting entries in... Not bad for not being in the book, and only opened just before the weekend!
I'm in and the rules look fine to me. About time we had a break out of common sense around here....
I'll go for the one I can manage.
At the moment I'd probably struggle with the Wa!
So I think it will be see how the next month goes, and then enter the AW as my warm up for the PPP as usual :)
TWA entered. Very excited, it'll be my first time!
Have done the Teenager but never the AW and so it's finally time to do the classic route. Very excited. I might stay awake and make it round as child no 2 is due tomorrow and I might have got at least some sleep back by then.
I've gone and dun it!

the Waltz (the Mrs is doing the Wa)
Aye, she is doing the long slow steady plod round with tea and biscuits. Like an LDWA?
I'm sure the old girl will bat on when required.
She is a great ultra runner and like a fair potter in the lakes.
Wynny has now confirmed we can sell white race mugs, but please do get your orders in quickly! - the nominal deadline is 1st March for orders. I have enabled the site to take orders for them.
The usual blue mugs will be awarded to winners.
For those that missed it the WA and TWA are being run on 19th April under other insurance - but are not in the book - enter on the site HERE
Please note - the WA! is still uncertain and may not be run.
Spoke to Wynny today, who is away from home at the mo.
She asked me to put up a note to encourage those who want a race mug to get their orders in. (unless you are fast enough to win one that is!!)
There are only a few days left before she has to place the order with manufacturer.
A few sale harriers should have entered this event!
17 days to go.....
Is there a start list anywhere?
Entry lists for the waltz and teenager are here @ www.anniversarywaltz.co.uk
Tried to PM you Wynn but your full.
Hi Wynn
I dont appear to be on the entry list, I entered on the 6/2/14 see post 1972 on the waltz page.
I even ordered a t-shirt.
Can you shed any light on it please?
Trevor Murgatroyd Calder Valley
When's the closing date for entries? I'll have a big push tonight at training?
next Monday I think
My mistake Wynn, sorry.
Entry now confirmed.
Happiness, is an entry in the Waltz.
Sunscreen dug out of the cupboard, looking like its going to be needed on Saturday.
Wonderful race. Thanks to the erstwhile ROs. Glad I made it, I had to detour via Caldbeck (!) to avoid the nasty looking accident on the 66. What a day :)
I think my pal missed the race due to traffic from the crash. Heard 3 air ambulances were involved?
I hope everyone involved is OK, I did a sort of prayer for them!
Two are seriously injured in Newcastle hospital, having arrived in two separate helicopters, plus another helicopter for a child; they were pulled out of the car before it burst into flames.
I was about 20 cars back and called 999. The emergency services were there almost instantly so I'm sure they already knew. The guy on the phone said to stay well away given that there were flames. It was a shocking sight :(
I made the decision to turn back after being sat in gridlock on a rat run back road until half ten :( Looked a bad one, i thought the house was on fire on approach!
Managed to soften the blow with a run up Pen Y Ghent on the way home though so not a wasted day!
How many ran?
I hope everyone is ok from the accident.
Start delayed in Waltz by 20mins 11.50am when we set off.
Thanks to Wynn, Steve and their team of marshal's on their excellent race and organisation of a fabulous pair of events.
