Hope no-one minds me replying on here (im a mere 50 mile contender) - very excited but now very nervous! This years training and ultra races have gone fantastically well as a newby to this distance, but then disaster struck 4 weeks ago and i have developed a mystery pain in my hip and pelvis which i have been having treatment on - timing or what!! anyway the longest run i have done is 8 miles and even that was a stagger. For me now i will just be powerwalking round and enjoying the views, if there is no pain - be a bleeding miracle- i will jog the downhills. i will also be replacing gels with codeine pills, maximum strength! Moan over - it will be a great day and there will be many new people to meet and chat too.
