Me to :( Edale Skyline for me the day before:eek:
Printable View
Starts tomorrow, Monday 30th March, and the weather is looking reasonable.
Went round the course on Tuesday night and all looks well, even got across the river at both stepping stones without getting to wet.
See you tomorrow.:)
Is it a 6:45pm start?
Will you be there with your BIG LENS Richard? :p
Yay! It's definitely summer time now. I'm looking forward to a gentle jog round if the ankle holds up.
ish!!! Depends on how many people turn up without their numbers, or can not remember it, from previous year(s).
Junior course is marked out and brambles cut back.
The water is very low for the seniors and the ground is dry and firm.
I will be there from 18:00 hrs to start registration, which will be further up the field between the pub and the footbal field, out of the way of parking and close enough to be hooked up to the pub (electrically).
(searches frantically for his 3 year old number...)
Wow! Over 3,034,198 entries.
Well, it seemed like it.
Just finished, got a lift home, probably a few still finishing
AND would you believe it, NO RESULTS on line yet.............:D
Just in Great turnout and fast conditions (Forgot to start watch so looking out for results...) Managed to run all the way up last hill for 1st time so maybe did ok! Heard there was a missing child - all ok?
Results were out by 20:38. One or two modifications / gliches to iron out but, all in all a successful evening.
263 seniors and 37 juniors (non missing) with over 70 new registered on the day.
Big thanks to Mark Pearce for the time spent over the winter months creating the new website and results service. It wasn't without challenges this evening but Mark was Mr Cool and took all that was thrown at him and came up smelling of roses.:D
Shut up tart :) They're uploaded now http://www.undeadmonkey.org.uk/trunce... and how come even Al Knox beat you?
Theres a couple of things to sort, a mixture of teething problems and failing eyes  (blind not cool) on the finish funnel, which I will get to once I've walked the dog.
Hopefully all will be sorted by this evening. That also includes any one that told me last evening of moving in to vet status.
Thanks for making the Trunce the success that it appears to be.
Well done andy, king-snail and all involved in the fabulous Trunce
PB for me last night by some way...even with the detour around the pile of cow s**t
one more trunce to go before i move north....can i dip under 26 mins
short video - bit too much splashing going on
Great to have the Trunce back.
Good video that Richard, the splashing enhances it.
I do appolgise if I shouted at anyone last night - but it was a teensy bit stressfull on the number taking! It got abit messy at times with some people dashing straight through and not keeping in line  Looks like its worked out OK though :p
Photos, only negative comment on the night seemed to be from the usual "queues" they even looked to be queuing to avoid getting their feet wet at the first crossing - robbed a few of PB's no doubt (funny how the PB's are to the top of the results) - shame as it was fast going.

more photos - no video, camera's knackered
Had an ace run at Trunce 2 last night, perfect evening for it. Thanks for all your efforts Plumbum & team! :)
Did anyone else find Trunce 5 EXTREMELY WET tonight? Thunder, lightning, torrential rain, so much so that I couldn't see where I was going half the time. Lots of flooding made for ace mucky fun but no PB today. :)
And bone dry at home...
That was the best trunce ever, the muddy track on the way out that was deeper than any of the river crossings on the way back. The woman who stood by 'the puddle' who said be careful it gets deep wasn't kidding. I was washing mud and grit out of my pants. I had mud up to my armpits. Thunder and lightning and a barely visible road. So many runners had huge grins.
Awesome stuff. It felt like a tropical monsoon.
PB can you order that for the next race:D
Ps felt sorry for the marshalls. well done all
...and worth noting that Mick Stenton broke the course record for a post BG Trunce run
BG on Saturday followed by a sub 30 Minute Trunce. I'm sure Plumbum will be along to confirm the time
Fabulous run last night. If I'd known it was gonna get like that I'd've set off slower!:D In those conditions you put your head down and follow the feet in front - so we manged to take a wrong turn and get a bit lost above the 2nd crossing! All added to the occasion. Can't believe that guy did sub-30 in these conditions after completing BG at weekend. Bet he's aching now. Drove like a maniac to get there - left north Leeds after 6pm and just made it. So chuffed I made the effort:) Thanks to Plumbum and all the soggy stewards.
Micks time was 29.19. I was hoping to finally beat him in a race, I came in a minute further back also having been led astray
