Did anyone else find Trunce 5 EXTREMELY WET tonight? Thunder, lightning, torrential rain, so much so that I couldn't see where I was going half the time.Lots of flooding made for ace mucky fun but no PB today.
And bone dry at home...![]()
That was the best trunce ever, the muddy track on the way out that was deeper than any of the river crossings on the way back. The woman who stood by 'the puddle' who said be careful it gets deep wasn't kidding. I was washing mud and grit out of my pants. I had mud up to my armpits. Thunder and lightning and a barely visible road. So many runners had huge grins.
Awesome stuff. It felt like a tropical monsoon.
PB can you order that for the next race
Ps felt sorry for the marshalls. well done all
...and worth noting that Mick Stenton broke the course record for a post BG Trunce run
BG on Saturday followed by a sub 30 Minute Trunce. I'm sure Plumbum will be along to confirm the time
Fabulous run last night. If I'd known it was gonna get like that I'd've set off slower! In those conditions you put your head down and follow the feet in front - so we manged to take a wrong turn and get a bit lost above the 2nd crossing! All added to the occasion. Can't believe that guy did sub-30 in these conditions after completing BG at weekend. Bet he's aching now. Drove like a maniac to get there - left north Leeds after 6pm and just made it. So chuffed I made the effort
Thanks to Plumbum and all the soggy stewards.
Micks time was 29.19. I was hoping to finally beat him in a race, I came in a minute further back also having been led astray
