Crowden to the Snake and back to recce those short cuts in thick fog. very cold up there and still plenty of snow.
10 miles and 2,000ft.
2 other runners about today but never saw them at least one followed my route for a while in Walshes, Was it you...?
8 miles XC around Pex Hill and along the bridle ways and hill sides. Very wet and extremely muddy, but what a great evening for running. My best run for a few weeks.
Yesterday perhaps my best ever canal night run. From home, 20min jog, 25 min hard, 10min jog. Full moon is so incredibly helpful nobody needs a headtorch.
3 miles this lunch time

4 mile round local park. Its coming cold.
5 miles.
9 mile bike commute + 33 mins easy run - definitely coming cold!!

ran over to my lads footie match just in time to see him drill a volley into the top corner to make it 1-0
well chuffed:)
bloody cold though
And on the sibject of footie - 6 miles track indoors, 30 laps - just before watching my son play too. He scored a hat-trick which included a great towering header (at least thats what I saw). No better feeling than seeing your son score. Cost me $10 though
Knackered after the session
84 mins mostly off road from home (@9.5 miles) - New Farnley- Pudsey valleys - Tong - NF. Almost came a cropper on one v. slippery stile:(.

Not strictly "training" as such however, a very pleasant and cold afternoon skiing with my 11 year old on the local ski hill over here. All man made snow but the conditions were brilliant.
7 miles on the road today in new Nike road shoes felt much better than the Asics shoes. From Cronton to Chestnut Lodge, Victoria park and through Farnworth into Cronton.
Six Miles Fartlek round Glossop and Hadfield, felt good and enjoyed it :)
My dog took me for a trot on dartmoor (2 bridges up to brown's house and back via the beardowns for those familiar with). about 10k-ish.
I tagged along while he collected all manner of sh1t and jumped in the back of my truck with a satisfied grin. Oh to be a collie (wouldn't fancy the op down below, though)
bright sun, cold nw, good to be alive!
Not exactly training but as I'm not a roadie I will call it a speed session.
Clowne Half Marathon 1.28.58 only my second long road race 14 minutes off my PB!
Respect to Road runner and his like for keeping up that sort of pace with no hills to slow down and rest on when he's out doing the full monty
Todays full monty was 14 miles on and around Hobson Moor. Lovely morning for it. Loved getting full of mud then wandering back in the house!!!!!
Meeting tomorrow in town, but I have a funny feeling I will be home soon enough to get back out on the fells in the day light.
Slow run over Bleaklow from Torside and back. legs feel heavy this morning.
Are you just very lucky and work funny hours which allow you on the moors everyday or just rich enough not to have to bother with work Ian?
Just done the Gravy Pud 5 route in the same shoes I raced this years London Marathon in. Was wet in places, a little slippy going up Lees Hill but great fun in racing flats!!! Finished it off with a run down to Bottoms Reser and back via Hadfield. Great to do a weekday run in the daylight!!!!!
Too True, put my feet up last night with a glass of something and fell asleep.
Today was suppose to be a rest day but a friend wanted to know the route of Tankies over Bleaklow so we went to the Devils Dike and back. Much clearer today than last week.:( lets hope for thick fog in the race:D
5 miles in fields 1500" Hill reps.
