Just a 3.5 hour walk today including some sections of the Rivock Edge route, nice and muddy & a cold wind at times but stayed dry -just.
5.5 miles steady - first run for three weeks after suffering with bruised ribs...good to be back albeit a bit sore :)
5 mile XC race with the club. Did not intend to do this event, but enjoyed it at the end. A little 2 lapper with 600" up a couple of sloppy slopes. The walsh's went well.;)
No rain during the race, :) but then got soaked watching lads play footie:(
Wet, wild and wooly on dartmoor and that was just me!
Parked up at Peat Cott (for those familiar with) and got blown around for an hour and a half. Not as wet as the HMS Raleigh cadets I sailed past, though.
Today I ran the 'Duck Pond Waddle' race on the South Downs. Nine miles, 1100ft ascent, force 7 westerly, heavy rain throughout. Great course. The Invo 8 jacket was useless and I was soaked through.
Hi Fleeter
I run that area a fair bit-park at the scout hut and up to shell top via ditsworthy.
Yeah, dartmoor can do crap better than most, but it has its good days. not today, though.
3hr walk Saturday and Crowborough Runners 10K yesterday in Sussex. 2mins 30 quicker than last year, so v pleased. That's it now 'til Round Rotherham 50 next weekend. Bring it on!!
2 wet & sloppy runs in the last 3 days with the leg stifness still there but gradually improving. Not many people out over Hambeldon this aft, well, none actually apart from me!
6.5 Miles in the Wind and Rain, hope its not like this on Sunday for the Stockport 10
Freddie you should get along to the Harriers sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are doing some good speed sessions on the road now.
Errr.. Margarine does usually go on Tuesdays (so he tells me;) ), and will probably be there tomorrow for a (very) gentle trot.I'll tell him to keep an eye out for you.
11miles run around Ladybowyer from Fairholmes in 1 hour 25. legs felt very good given Tankies was only two days ago. Met a guy running with a pack and front harness full of water bottles. A bit over kill I thought, then he said it was his second time round, he was training for the M-De-S. Hard core.
Right Ian. You have made up my mind. I am going out with Glossopdale tonight. Couldn't decide all day as I've got a bit of lurgy I think. Might drag Grouse along too:D.
Done 9.5 mile on the roads after work tonight with Sinatra around Hough Green, Cronton and Farnworth.
Nowt special, some 30mins on roads to "stretch the legs" - first run since TOP.
Tell you what, if you can run today you can run in anything. Howling gales around here made running into the wind very very slow indeed. So glad I gave Tankey's a miss on Sunday - couldn't have been pleasant!
Nowt special, some 30mins on roads;) + usual bike commute!!
Feeling v lethargic after Gravy Pud race. Not as windy as Holmfirth!!
Nowt special, 7 miles on the road.
Has anyone done owt special today?
Well thanks Marg. I needed that like err... like something I really didn't need very much at all. :o :D
I did something special. Went to Glossop to see the Christmas Tree get lit. It was a service by Willow Wood which some local chavs decided to try and spoil. I even told one girl to piss off or I would bang her one!!!! Rude kids- I blame the parents.
I then went home and did 8 x 3 mins off 90 secs and 5 x 30 secs.
10 miles on the boring roads.
6 on canal bank in dark. Must be mad almost fell in:o
8 miles or so on the roads in what feels like a force 10 gale. Got blown off the pavement a couple o' times. Not a pleasant run at all what with the rain and all.
Got home and now see that our front windows are bulging in on account of the wind....
45 mins at lunchtime in the snow and freezing cold - invigorating
Well Roadrunner, why don't you go and run on the really interesting roads then? :D
Along the canal to Hest Bank then onto the coast road and along Morecambe prom. Pissing down here
Rest for me, got a bloody stomach bug off my kids, always seems to happen when i am due to race at weekend, p****d off !!
