Its amazing how so many good British actors there are in this particular episode who only get a couple of lines to speak. I too have seen the film - I actually wonder whether they used the real Malham Cove or just used a studio set up of the limestone pavement albeit with the correct backdrop (with all the tourists removed of course). I am a Harry Potter expert, as are both my daughters, so we loved the film and actually understood precisely what the heck was going on. My elder daughter's boyfriend on the other hand hadn't seen any of them and was totally and utterly confused. Everything kicks off big time in the finale and all the cast will I'm sure get their full and deserved airing come June 2011. Me and my elder daughter also wondered whether the beach scenes at the end were filmed on Camusdarach beach not far from Arisaig in Scotland - if it wasn't there it was somewhere virtually identical.Quote:

I watched INCEPTION tonight and really enjoyed it. Never mind the special effects try and concentrate on what is going on in the story!. I probably need to watch it again as a couple of things didn't quite make sense to me like was he still dreaming at the end? Not sure why the Ariadne character was in there either or maybe she represented the audience trying to work out what was going on ?
Going to watch that now, recommended by stepson, just watched the 14min animation on the special features disc that leads up to the start of the film and i'm lost already, where's me compass:confused:Quote:

I suppose it's just cos I watch it without trying to work things out or predict what's going to happen....
Inception was brilliant though, loved it, so maybe just watch it and try to make your brain a bit thick like mine it will actually be easier to follow :thumbup:

A French film about the 1st World War Christmas fraternisation between British, French and German soldiers in 1914. There are English subtitles for German and French speech.
Very powerful film with a sting in the tail of what happened to the troops after the fraternisation episode.
Just watched Tom Tykwer's 'Heaven' (written by Kieslowski). Really beautiful and thought provoking film and it had my favourite music throughout (Spiegel im spiegel, Arvo Part).
Its not a waste of time but I can see it wouldn't be to everyone's taste. I thought it was a bit cheesy but I really enjoyed it and it does have lots of messages in it, some not so subtle!

Watched Mamma Mia last night after a stomach bug meant I dipped on XOTF and ended up gate-crashing the girls' night in. Harmless fun.
Then watched Into the Wild; a beautifully shot film, and a very poignant story.

Watched A-team the other night, quite a good film to watch if you just want to turn your brain off and enjoy the explosions
Watched A-Team over christmas and have to say was pleasantly surprised , although having watched the first 15 mins of " The Expendables " a couple of days earlier , anything would be entertaining !
Anyway , just watched " Kickass " on DVD , which is my favourite action movie of last year . For anyone who hasn't seen it yet , I strongly recommend it , think tarantino meets comic book - super hero with a twist , best action film ever for me !
Loved ' Inception' by the way , even better the second time round !

Went to the flicks to see 127 hours - very good film to say that it is a very basic story line.
Don't want to sound too pretentious but if there are any fans of french cinema out there, Hor De Prix (Priceless) was on Film 4 last week. Anyone else see it?

After a job that doesn't go quite to plan they are then forced to embark of an extremely difficult dream entering jobby to influence an outcome rather than merely get information, using that well know dream within a dream within a dream within a dream master plan. I ordered Hors de Prix recently from LoveFilm because I'm a fan of Audrey Tatou. At first I didn't like it as I thought the characters were unlikeable but I warmed to them later and was glad I watched it. Funny. I'd like to see 127 hours but not sure if I can stomach the hacking bit.
