Great Pics Dom - especially the one of us glowing in our macs!
For those of us that found ourseelves on the summit of what was I think Broad Crag just before Scafell Pike and, like me, found coming off it quite awkward, Wainwright describes it as the most boulder strewn and generally inhospitable summit around. I'm not quite sure how we ended up there, the route looks so straightforwar on the map!!

Looked like a fab day out guys. Great to see lots of happy folk on the pics ...noticed the gloves on so I guess it got chilly?

That was Rhys, a.k.a. the Joker who finished in 22.15.
I was the slightly pink and out of breath person with him. I think we spoke briefly on the last bit of the climb.

Yes we did have a wee chat nice to meet you!
One reason for a wearing a bright pink top is it detracts from the bright pink cheeks but I'm guessing that's not for everyone:rolleyes:

That looks like the place where I was on my own. Having been left behind on Scafell Pike when the group split in two. Fortunately I had my compass with me and the map instructions told me to go back to the col and then descend the ravine NW. So that is what I did and two kind gentlemen (Huwski and Daz) met me as they came back looking for me. Thanks guys.
So the answer to your question is that you are on the descent from the col between Broad Crag and Scafell Pike on your way down to the corridor route! If I am wrong my excuse is that it was very cloudy at the time and I've been in the pub for the last 3 hours watching Tim Henman!

I'd be up for a recce as well. Weekends are pretty full between now and August but I reckon a midweek day would be a possibility....and impending redundancy means I could sneak the day off to go "job hunting" :D

I can't go week days after the 19th as the dreaded summer holidays have started and my nervous twitch will have resurfaced!!:rolleyes:

over 7 hours!! lots of stops though and rescue missions!;)

I'll be there, I was looking at Dom's pictures, I see you even managed a sit down at one point. I'm well up for it now. I might even enjoy it too.

What a cracking day out....between Emmilou's laughing (what a view!) and Huwski's harmonic singing on descents.....cracking stuff....

The twig & I hugely enjoyed ourselves......
Hopefully do it all ove again before the big day......keep me posted though.....I don't have access to the net :-(
