Feckin annoys me this, why do people think if you ride a bike they have the right to give you no room. A car pulled out on me last week, didn't even look, caught her at the bottom of a hill and she's sat there with earphones and a phone in her lap, playing hell with me through the windscreen cos i shook my head at her. Doesn't take a lot to give a biker, or horse or any other road user a bit of space. Does these people realise they could kill someone one day:angry:

Finished the third and final stage of the Tour of Wessex! 104 miles over some brutal climbs. Really suffered in the morning but improved after the first big climb and got strong towards the end. It was all followed by the most painful sports massage I've ever had. The question is do I run Blencathra on Wednesday?

    Brilliant riding Donkey

Daz, it is really getting me angry the way drivers get too close or even hit cyclists... Most don't even realise we are there! I got knocked off my bike in a SPOCO tt the other day by some numpty driver who drove steright on, doubt they ever saw me, let along realised they'd hit me???? In a birght orange skinsuit, bruit yello fluo race number on the back, white helmet and a whopping great big flashing light on the bike as well :w00t:

Friend of mine had the same this weekend on a 100 mile TT... driver didn't even stop!!!! He dislocated his shoulder and fractured a collarbone and still managed to finish the last 20 miles :w00t:

Too many cyclists killed already on the road this year, makes you feel very vulnereable indeed, but I won't give up doing what I love to do...

Glad you at least didn't get hit Daz!

Oh and did some sprinty and standing start stuff at the velodrome yesterday Coached standing starts. First time I had the nopportunity to do several in a row to try and get to grips with how it is done... It costs you seconds if you have a bad start and on 500 metres or even 2 kms for the pursuit, that is VERY hard to make up. Did a decent PB too, on the 500 meter tt, so well pleased

Legs hurt more after a session like that than after a 60 mile roadrace :w00t:

Went for a very pleasant 16 mile with eldest son. He cycles about 4 times per year so glad to have him out with me.
Good chat and quality time together.

Nice day quite roads and a bit of sunshine on the back.
