Yes football became established.. teams did. Legends grew. In the next 50 years do you seriously think many outside the top 6 will win?

Danbo of course will be OK with that now they are in the tent pissing out... but United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs will remain.. the likes of chelsea, city will come and go.. no legend.. no name clubs.. 10 a penny... but the top 4 will remain.
That too is a fair reply
    BUT
Spurs or Everton have never been in my life time (52)
    AND
Yes I would like to see a more level playing field with more clubs with trophy's

I still believe like Liverpool and Arsenal have had long baron spells its now your turn again.

City at the minute are a refreshing change.

    Bloody good post Sir.
The gang of 5 changed the rules of the game and the likes of Mansour and Abramovich are a natural consequence of that.

They created the monster that they jealously cast their glaze upon.

The way it has now come back to haunt them Is truly beautiful when you think about it.

Come on Danbert.. anyone who was in on the start of the EPL did exactly what you complain about... we made the game 2 tiered.. those in were vastly richer than those out..

But that's OK because City gain from it.. had they been a lower league team no doubt that was also wrong..

Big weekend so far. Liverpool dropping points, their title challenge is looking flimsy now.

    For me

Cardiff, Sunderland, Palace to drop. Surprised Solsjkaer took that job.. I thought he could have gone for an Everton.. Villa..

You and the other 4 playground bullies ganged up on the other kids and once you had got your way all league clubs had to follow suit, making smaller clubs particularly vulnerable if they have a run of away games, especially long distance, as a result of the shake up of the fixtures or a couple of home game postponements. You 5 created the monster and now it has come back to haunt you.

danbert, in the 80's was your team one of those that voted to keep all home game revenue? That's when the greed first started and your club isn't blameless in ripping off the smaller clubs.

Carlos In 1981 five clubs (United, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal & Spurs) threatened to form a breakaway league unless the other clubs agreed to their proposal to stop sharing gate receipts and allow the home team to keep them all. In 1992, the same five clubs pushed for the formation of the Premier League and took the TV money (which had previously been shared with the lower divisions) all for themselves. It was the greedy 5 who set the agenda.

I don't know about that stags, Everton (the real people's club from meryside)had a great team in the 80's and won the title and possibly they could have won the eurpean cup hadn't it been for the dippers (always the victims) who killed juventus fans and blamed it onto Chelsea's head hunters.
