What was wrong with my shoes...

Yes they've now gone in the bin where they should have gone about three weeks after buying them

On the kitcheck front:

To the best of my knowledge only 4 people turned up with no phone and they were able to borrow one off friends or partners. 2 people turned up with out any windproof/waterproof pants which we were able to aquire some off the marshalls.

Mr G Manhood seemed to be carrying a full telephone exchange.

Strider it was a close finish, you came in 4 seconds behind me. Did I run past you on the finishing field or were you catching me because I couldn't bend my legs for the last 100m, They were like frozen licorice ouch
