Tried to keep up with Keiron on the climb but he left me standing, as did most folk.
I'll be back next year to try and improve my time of about 2:38ish.
Awesome set-up, very organised, a shame for all the locals who had put so much into the sports field entertainment, it was bogged out.
Just had an hour in hot tub back at hotel, then off for some tea then out on the town to plan next years short cuts, which I completely missed.
Few grazes on my backside after some steep boggy, cramp inducing descending... Yahoo!!
I'll stop rambling now as I've got a Scottish Steak to devour.
Well done Mudlugger - sorry to almost send you flying at Redburn but had been stuck behind someone for far too long and couldn't get passed and this was an opportunity not to miss - that and the camera was on

Well I absolutely loved this race, safe to say the best one I've done to date and all the whittlin on pre race was indeed not quite so necessary

No plan really just get to red burn on time and don't stop until reaching the top, phew it's a long way up but there wasn't a minute I didn't enjoy.

Nearly got knocked out a few times as the front runners came flying passed on their way back down, must admit on seeing Jebby thought damn - that means I've still ages to go to get to the top but it does appear...eventually. Conditions were great really, wee bit blowy but what fun!! The run back down is an absolute blast.

Can't wait for next year .

Thanks to everybody that sponsored me it's much appreciated. The total so far is £1500 and rising. If anyone else wants to add to the tally now it's done it's not too late...

Great to see everyone. Thanks to all for the encouragement and not forgetting the jelly babies.

See you next September!
