A great LDWA event - the best
A most civilized way of manning a checkpoint. A few years back I did take a crate of beer on a checkpoint the missus and I were manning, a very hot day and a few indulged with relish.

There is also the 'real ale ramble', organised by Gordon Green here locallly in Wales, I've never done it as I believe it can be a bit spartan with regards food etc. and a lot of forest track work (boring). But he does put a couple of barrels of ale out in the woods to help yourself on the way round. I believe this has resulted in some interestingly slow runs
