Hi Guys, couple of newbie questions;
1. Which Map? - I'm going to be doing some reccies so i need to get used to the kind of map I'm going to use. It looks like the 1:40thou harveys map covers the whole route but it's a bit tight at the western edge; have people used this and was it accepted? Failing that it's 2 maps (Harvey's or OS) which might be a pain.
2. Which Bag? - My rucksacks are all too big (OMM style stuff) and I'm guessing it won't all fit in my pete bland bum bag! I reckon a 10-15l sack might do the trick; i quite like waist pockets for food (like the OMM sacks), saves a lot of faffing. I'm assuming that i won't need a bladder (hate the things anyway!) and can get away with a small (500ml?) bike bottle for drinks at checkpoints or from streams?
And before anyone chips in with a "search the thread" kind of answer; i have done!
