I carry and run in the Inov8 Mistlite jacket and bottoms and have found them to be excellent, however I notice they dont have taped seams but are recomended as being FRA approved

There is no such thing as FRA approved kit. The Mistlite jacket and bottoms meet the basic FRA requirement for windproof body cover but are no more FRA approved than the dozens of other windproof jackets and bottoms available from other manufacturers.
