Loads of you will have seen me lay down on the way up Dale Head, my legs were shot and I seriously wanted to jack in but hung on. Descent off Dale head was messy, fell over twice after the quarry on the way back to Rosthwaite and again had to walk a short way. Struggled into the finish in 4:23 in a dismal 168th place. I will go back and do this again at some point and do it justice. Today was not my day but I was glad to finish. Weather was super hot and muggy, not ideal conditions at all, I think I drank about 5 litres of fluid today (before and during the race) but still feel dehydrated. Kudos to all finishers, and those that put in a brave effort.
Rob you bonked, thats all. Nothing to do with drink (although you drank and presumably carried way, way too much) but probably a lot to do with food or lack of it.
