It's a score event too so you can do as little or as much as you want. My Mrs does it with her mate and she isn't a mountain goat by any means, but between them they have a go, do quite well and what's more...enjoy themselves. 2013 will be my 5th Rab MM and it is one of my favorite events in the year.
I do the OMM too, which is also great event, but just seems too crowded.
